Bikeless again

So yesterday I decided to post a quick ad for my BMW F650 to gauge interest. Wound up selling it within a couple hours. Buyer has friends local to me who will be able to pick it up and complete the transaction.

So I find myself bikeless for the first time in a long time. I'm in no rush to replace the F650, as I've even thought about hanging up my helmet -- I've been driving the MGB more and riding less anyways, and since my crash a couple years ago some of the passion for riding has cooled. May just take a season off and reassess next spring.

Though I admit that one of these is quite tempting...

That looks nice. But I think some stole the carbs off that one. They used to be right there behind the jug...

Not surprised you sold your BMW so quickly. They are a very desired machine. I would not mind having one at all.

Single throttle body fuel injection. Nice setup, nothing to mess with.

The F650 was a great bike -- 60 mpg, decent power, light weight... in the end not a bike I could connect with. Only so much time, so this was an easy one to pass on to someone who will ride it like it deserves to be ridden.

Got the payment from the buyer today, so it's legally if not physically gone. Will be picked up on Thursday.

F650 left today, buyer's friend picked it up this afternoon. First time in many years I've been bikeless and not planning on a replacement. Will be interesting to see how long this lasts.

Good Luck. I am currently suffering from PMS (Parked Bike Syndrome). I keep telling myself the snow has got to melt some day...

Spring's always the worst time, you get a few nice days as teasers, then it snows again.
