Man, I love those big pigs. I want a MK7 in the worst way, but at best I could afford one with the tree growing out of the wheel well..... The cost of restoring a bad one would require the resources of a small country someplace. I service a really nice MK9 (The car you photographed). It has the rare Ruetters reclining seats, white steering wheel and well done added on AC. Like most MK9s, it is an automatic. The MK7s were available w/ 4 speeds, and when equipped that way had some very comfortable bucket seats. Plus I like the 2 part windshield and full "spats" of the early cars. Check the tool boxes in the front doors. The tool kit might bring as much as the rest of that car.
