Well, as of today, I have owned my 60 BT7 for fifty years! Not many people can say that they still have the first car they owned.😎

Congratulations Lin. This week also marks my 58 anniversary with my 1960 BT7. Two of the best decisions I’ve ever made were buying it and keeping it.

Wonderful feat. Where did you do most of its driving?

Mostly in Virginia. A month after I finished total restoration in 2009, I drove it cross-country and back from Rehobeth Beach, Delaware to California. Then up the coast to Victoria, B.C and then back to Virginia. Thirty day trip. 8,000 miles. Great memories.

Good Show OLE Chap---

I finally found the photo of my car dated 12/26/1963. I bought it in Fresno, CA from the original owner who had gotten married and was having a family. I was bound for college and this is exactly what I needed to make my mark. Still is.....

Very nice!

Congratulations on that anniversary. That is quite a car. I started my Healey experience with a 1960 BT-7, and I later found a factory hardtop for it like you have. I have a BJ-8 now but I still prefer the lines of these earlier models with the small beehive lenses, and pull-out door handles.
