Big 3 or custom seat foams and covers?

Well, I'm out of electrical stuff to fix (I'm sure I'll regret saying that) so it is time to start getting the TR6 back together now.

I was going to bite the bullet and order the seat foams and covers from the Big 3 but I've heard several people suggest that they actually were able to get good results for less money by using local upholsterers.

Any ideas or comments?

Bring your existing foam to a decent upholsterer,
thats what I did & I saved over 1/2 of what the big 3 are charging .
BTW he did a very nice job with mine.

A buddy has a bright orange Spitfire that is quite attractive and fun to drive. He went to a local upholsterer and had a rather loud orange and black, tuck and roll upholstery job done and really made the car more fun to drive. Looks good, better quality and cheaper than the best from the big 3.
