Couple of local OKC cars staying cool between races Saturday at Hallett. A 2 liter Maserati in front and a Ford powered Genie. Both fast cars.

And this Sprite looks like it could have been a show car except for all the race related mods.

Hey!!!!! I've seen this episode of Speed Racer!!! I also have the complete set on DVD!!!!!

All kidding aside it's been said that the inspiration for Speed Racer were those types and era of cars. Two very excellent examples there!

Ahem... Bring them up here please, we don't see such exotic machines in my part of the world... :savewave:

Nice!
I'll be at the New Hampshire Vintage in 3 weeks and the Jefferson 500 (at Summit Point) in 4 weeks.

I expect I'll see some cars like that too.

By the way, the #31 Spridget is a "Spec-Sprite". The rules for that class were created by Roger Williams who posts under the name "jollyroger" here at BCF.
Most Spec-Sprite run in CVAR....a Texas-based vintage race club.

Good observation Nial. This was a CVAR weekend. Lots of Spridgets, FVs and FFs and many others too. BTW, the driver of that Genie is 80 years old and still very competitive.
