I've asked them to leave, but I guess being polite doesn't work.
There's a bunch of them,& they seem to have a lot of tunnels around
our house.
Is there any sure way to get rid of them?

It worked for Carl

My daughter's dachshund kills the gophers at our house. You can also use an air rifle if you don't want to buy a dog.

As I don't own any guns,I'll need to borrow (burrow?) your Daughter's dog.

Trap and release in the city.

It sorta works: the fox-urine and garlic powder you can get at hardware stores. I sprinkle it when they dig holes close to my house foundation. It seems to last until the next rain; I’ll reapply for a month or so. It seems like there are fewer, but who knows if the stuff really works?? YMMV.

What we did (works for squirrels and chipmunks too) :ROFLMAO:

Three pastors were having lunch at a diner.

The first one said, "You know, since the summer started I've been having a lot of trouble with bats in the loft and attic at my church. I've tried everything -- noise, spray, cats -- nothing seems to scare them away."

The second pastor replied, "Me too. I've got hundreds of those things living in my belfry and in the narthex attic. I had the whole place fumigated, but they still won’t go away."

The third pastor then said, "I had that problem a while ago. So I baptized them and made them members of the church. Haven't seen one back since!"

On a slightly more serious note, the last time we moved we were 7 weeks out of house and we parked Mrs. JP's Beetle at the home of friends. When we picked it up again we realized that chipmunks had eaten the wiring. was not an inexpensive repair.

Had similar happen to wife's Miata once. For some reason the only wires affected were to the AC clutch and I was able to affect repairs myself

A mean ☼☼☼☼☼ cat.

Where would one purchase a weapon like that?
When I was a kid back in the 50s, I had a few reptiles.
I also got catalogs in the mail where I could purchase ANY reptile I wanted.
You could order constrictors by length and also vipers, asps and other deadly pets.
