I am finally putting my Bugeye back together after going through every last nut an bolt, not to mention many years. Can someone suggest a tire and tire size that would work best with my Bugeye? I don't know if it matters, but my car is totally stock.
Thanks, Kevin

I think the 145/13 bias belted is the correct item.

Which do you use Frank?

5.20-13, 6ply came on mine. White wall option. lol...fancy

I am as bad a Jaybird, can not make up mind weather white walls or not.

Not a big fan of whitewalls, but that is what the wart came with, so...
Don

White walls just don't look very sporty to me. Tunebug had them originally, but I'd only put them on if was going to turn him into a show car. Which I'm not.

I bought 13 inch Kelly tires at my local tire store, they had 'optional' whitewalls, double sided so to speak, they are out there with white on one side should you choose later for a different look.
At $20 each, may not hurt to look into that...

How wide are they Barry? What does it say on the side of the tire?

165/70 are the closest to the original diameter, but are too wide for the stock rims (IMO). I'd go 155/80.

I've got 155/80 on the Tunebug (that's what it came with when I bought it) and they look right on the original disc wheels. They're findable as well, so probably what I'll stick with.

Have Bridgestone Potenza P165/65R13 here on Superlite rims

I am currently running 195/60s now, they are too wide for my liking.
Stock 155/80s are too skinny for my liking.
So for me, 165/70s are the best tire for a Bugeye.
165/70s fit fine on stock rims, wires too.

Thanks Frank.
