Best Seat Trim Adhesive

I have the seats out of my car and in many places the edges of the vinyl trim around the bottom frames has begun to curl up and separate from the metal. I don't want to pull the trim off entirely--I just want to address the 1/2" to 1" of material that needs to be reglued.

For the sake of neatness I do not want to use a spray adhesive, but rather one I can apply with a brush only where needed.
3M yellow trim adhesive ("Yellow Peril") used to be the glue of choice, but with all the new products I am wondering what is now the best product to use.

Recommendations, please.
 
I'd still go with the 3M. Proven track record. JMHO.
 
With the DAP contact adhesive, be aware there are different types. You would want the one with "The Original" on the label.

The stuff in the green can "environmentally conscious" is crap.
 
On Amazon, HH66 contact adhesive. made for use with vinyl. NOte that some contact adhesives will slowly dissolve the backing of the vinyl and release after a year or so.
 
The guy who just did my seat upholstery used a hot glue on the seat bases where it wraps around the base . You also have to heat the leather to make it all stick , don’t know the name of the product but it looks like the leather is very firmly stuck .
