I have received conflicting information on the best repair manual for the MGB. I was wondering which one you guys thought was the best one and why. Thanks!

I like both the Haynes and the Bently manual. The Hanyes tends to explain thing more. The Bently's drawings are better. I would suggest both. Forget the Chilton, too many other cars mixed in with it.

I agree with the above, but don't forget the Moss catalog. I use it as much as the other two!

I have multiple haynes manuals, who knows why becuse their useless...I used a real big, thick manal called "The Complete and Official MGB" by Robert Bentley publishing just like 5 minutes ago to help me with my current electrical problem and it was pretty helpful. Most of all I use the MOSS catalogues their good for when you need to know how everything goes back together.

I have a Haynes manual, but I don't like it. I was wondering what other options are out there. Thanks for the info!

I have a Chilton, Haynes and a Bentley...and prefer the Bentley for most projects and the Haynes for a few, but have no idea where the Chiltons are anymore...and don't miss them.

Not sure what you do not like about the Haynes. You may not like the Bentley as well. Have had the Haynes longer so I think that is why I go to it first. Usually gets me on the right track. The Bentley may be a bit more detailed at least it seems that way to me.

Of course, when all else fails we are very fortunate to have so many excellent references on the Internet. The archives of some forums are huge, some have excellent libraries, and some just have a bunch of great people on it, i.e. this one.

Ask Santa for the Bentley. It makes a great stocking stuffer for the MGBer in the family. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
