Drove to Fairhope this AM. About 90 miles of which was all country back roads. When I say back roads, I mean barely a lane wide in the middle of no where. Perfect morning, beautiful scenery. Big round bails of hay in the middle of fields that went on forever; sun peaking through the morning mist. Old barns, ancient churches having fall fest, farm critters, creeks, roadside farmer's markets, narrow bridges and a national forest.

No road name signs, no GPS or map. Only used printed directions, the occational a compass glance and the trip ODO to figure out where I was.

Sorry guys, no pics. Will take the same way next year. This AM was EXACTLY what driving these little cars was all about. The trip was better than the show and the show was great. Perfect day, the best ever. Can't wait till next year. I've been only taking back roads the last few weeks. Highways suck!

I wish I would have taken notes along the way but I was too busy having fun driving. POuring down rain here right now. Thank God, we really needed it.

Guys, it was truley magnificent. It was literally the best drive I've ever had in my life. The time went by so fast though.
 
I almost thought I was your passenger... Know exactly what you are talking about.
 
I'd love to try to replicate the run, but I don't see how. One thing I've noticed in life, "the best" ________, is exactly that, the best _______ of my life. Have you ever experienced anything to say, "WOW, that was the best _____ ever" and never had it happen again?

Best night of my life was still 20 years ago. Best day ever was 6 years and one day ago. Never will top that one!
