Best choice for exhaust.

If you were faced with replacing your entire exhaust from Head to tailpipe, and were not concerned with originality but were someone concerned about price, what would you install?
BTW this is not for the '67BGT but a '74B.

Peco for performance and an aggressive sound. Stock for a conservative note. Custom aluminized system for best price.

PECO, nice tone. Even, low but at cruising speeds it's just nice background music. $450.00 ish complete manifold to bumper.

Purchase the header of your choice (if you want one), then run down to your local muffler shop, and have them run the pipes front to back for you. Depending on the hardware you select at the shop, you can have a complete custom exhaust system installed with labor for around the same price as buying a 'kit'. For the greatest savings at the shop, do not have a center muffler put in the system.

Most good shops will have a selection of mufflers that will allow you to have any type of sound you like, from silence, to Mustang Cobra, to just straight pipes.

Too bad I can't "test listen". I guess I need to pay more attenion to other MG's.

Is this the system listed in Moss?

There are a number of ways to go. If price is an issue, you can get the stock pipes at any decent parts store (not in stock of course), and install it yourself. I have an Ansa system, and like it very much. I removed the resonator from the system, and had a muffler shop bend a pipe to span the gap, and it gave me a bit more ground clearance.

It all depends what you are looking for, and how much you want to spend.

You'll be in the mid $500 range with both the header and exhaust from MOSS, the $278 is just exhaust, no header.
