TR4/4A Best carpet for TR4

Having ordered a new vinyl interior kit for my 1961 TR4 from Rimmer Brothers during their recent upholstery sale, I am considering purchasing a new carpet kit, as well, but I do not know the relative merits of the Wilton wool and the standard synthetic in either cut or looped pile, nor do I know the best supplier. May I have the recommendations of those who have done this, please?

Totally biased here, but I ordered 100 percent wool from Rimmer Bros in England. Pricey but so nice and heavy and thick. They also sell the jute underlay. I didn't opt for the "correct" pile. Mine is whatever they call the plush stuff. Black. Great strong backing.

I'm also going to replace my cheap and nasty loop pile carpet and was also trying to decide. I'm probably going to go for a synthetic quality carpet.

Since I have an industrial sewing machine and am silly enough I'll probably have a go at making the carpet myself.
