Will the Complete Official MGB manual by Bentley, "1962 to 1974," cover everything I need regarding my 74 1/2 GT or do I have to get one newer one then this one?

I'm not sure it would mention the rubber bumpers, but there are not that many differences in the 74 and the 74.5

Other than ride height and bumpers there is very little different between the two models in 1974. Your car should have two SU HiF carbs and the same basic power train as the 1974. Dash and electics should be the same.
