Bent Frame

Put the body shell on a rotisserie two weeks ago and just noticed today the front frame horns are bent upward just behind the rear A frame mount points. Both sides are bent very nearly the same, about 2" at the front of the vehicle if I eyeball a straight line. I took a few pics but they don't illustrate the issue well.

Is this common? I can't imagine what you have to hit or how you'd have to hit it to do that kind of damage.

The front frame rails are bent up purposly. If you were to straighten them up, you would throw your steering and alignment way off. This has startled a lot of people over the years. Legend has it a few people have even taken the time and effort to straighten them out only to find out afterward that they have done serious damage tothe car.

Ted,
They come that way from the factory, about an inch or so of upward bend. I believe this is how the caster is set.
