been a good week...

Over the last few days I've spotted,

A really sweet Alfa Giulia GTV in purple,

A Ferrari LaFerrari on the 405 fwy,

a transporter carrying a Lamborghini Jalpa and a Ferrari Testa Rossa on the 91 fwy,

that guy in the tangerine Jensen Healey with the hockey stick stripe,

a Mclaren 570,

a Toyota Mirai (not exactly thrilling, but interesting to see a hydrogen fuel cell car in the wild and not even in a town with a hydrogen station.),

a chrome bumper MGB, really nicely restored

Last meetup at Hayfields this morning. Lot was full when I got there at 9:30. Unusual cars included a Lamborghini Miura (I never saw one up close before - really low), a Maserati 3500, a 1936 Dodge hotrod and the usual suspects. A guy I know, Bob, had a ride in a Miura on his bucket list and the owner obliged. It was fun watching him fit his 6'3" frame into the low car. While he was out in the Lambo, (which took off in a cloud of oil smoke), he gave me the key to his Honda S2000 with the instructions to take it to 7000 rpm. I had a passenger - an ex-Camaro racer, and off we went. The shift throws were extremely short and once I hit third instead of 5th but the thing really took off - much faster than the TR6, with much better brakes and a good ride.Sat on the road like it weighed a ton. But - I dunno. It did everything so well, even had a heater that toasted my right arm (imagine that in a Triumph), but there was something missing in the experience. Plus I would never be able to work on it (or have one of my expert friends work on it...). Anyone else drive or own one of these?
 
Being a honda, you never actually have to work on it. Hahaha. They only start to break if you modify them.
