This occurred on an earlier visit from the Lord. In fact, it predated Eve.
God: How is everything?
Adam: Just great, with one minor exception. It would be nice to have some companionship. The days can be very long without anyone to talk to"
God: "I've been thinking about that and I'll tell you what I have in mind. I could create a companion that would not only converse but take care of your every need. This person would tend your home, cook your meals, wash and mend your clothes, and take care of your physical needs. How does that sound?"
Adam: " Sounds great. What's it going to cost me?"
God: "An arm and a leg"
Adam: "Kind of pricey. What can I get for a rib?"
God: How is everything?
