... lemme ask if it'll be quick and clean.

So, battery desulfators are supposedly devices that supply bursts of high voltage back and forth to break down the cyrstals. That soulds like ac voltage to me. I'm wondering exactly how far my head would be blown off if I tried to break these crystals down using ac current straight from the wall into a 12v battery? I have emptied the acid out and put in pure water. I figure the stuff will need a place to go once it comes off. Does this sound like suicide?

If I recall, it IS AC, but not what you'd recognize as such. Not 6oCPS, but, rather, something like 4000 CPS.
