Wow it looks like a lot of people were not very happy with PRI that dosen't make mr feel well because i have bought carbs a head and flywheel from him and i still have to rebuild the short block so before i spend anymore $$$$; please anyone ever have a bad time with Rimmer i was looking to purchase their short block rebuild kit for my triumph 1300. t.y. rick.

Have dealt with Rimmer Bros. off and on since 2001. Always a satisfactory experience. Rebuilt items requiring a core can be a problem, but they went out of their way for me on a crankshaft for my TR7. Last transaction was a starter drive ring for the torque converter on my daughter's TR7 auto. Very quick delivery, a little pricey, but no one else had one. Right now the exchange rate is close to what it was ten years ago. I wouldn't hesitate to call and find out what they could do for me.

Well ok i thought rimmer was a good choice i did price all the items in their kit against alot of other companys and there prices were the best ; so thanks to all of you for your thought in this. rick

Fully half of the last batch of Stag parts I got from Rimmers did not fit properly. Not to mention that they absolutely refuse to ship by surface, and airmail added some 50% to the cost of the parts.

They also supplied the TR3 brake rotors that I have recently discovered are drastically out of balance.

I won't be dealing with them again, unless there is no other choice (which is sometimes the case, unfortunately). The only good thing I can say is that they do ship very promptly.

Randall, my original rotors are badly out of balance (62 TR4) so I guess they are supplying nos or they're still making them the same way.

Perhaps it's just luck of the draw then. The ones I took off (and eventually put back on) were nearly perfect.

Ted Schumacher at TSI Imported Automotive, as mentioned above, is an excellent choice for almost any kind of parts for your Triumph.

If Ted doesn't have it, he'll find it for your or point you to a reliable vendor.

Very good reputation, earned the old-fashioned way over many years. :yesnod:
