Beer--Wives-Athletics

Now that the racing season is over, I've been looking around at *different* types of competitions:

And I've discovered that those wacky folks in Maine have started up <u>"The North American Wife Carrying Championship".</u>

Normally, I'm not that interested in athletic events, but the winner wins his wife's weight in beer.
Obviously, the *real* qustion is: "What brand of beer?". /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Hmmm? I wonder if they have a "Senior Division"?
(Note: Sinners welcome!...you don't technically have to be "married".)

(this link is old, but you get the idea).

Which beer?? Westvleteren

Since they would have to go to Belgium to pick it up, I doubt that would be on their list. In that case, opt for anything made by Sierra Nevada. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thirsty.gif

Edit: So what's the stagergy?? Small, light wife, or a real hippo to maximize winnings?? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

carry the skinny minni across the finnish line stumble and have the twin sister "the hippo" fall on top of you screaming "we won, we won" to maximize yield! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif Wicked!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

How about a currently ongoing International Championship: Elephant Polo

Scotland have done quite well at it... as anyone might expect. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I've seen elephant soccer, but never polo. Interesting.

OK, now if you could win the elephant's weight in beer, *then* you'd have a contest! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

I'm IN!!

...but a bit curious: How do you saddle an elephant?

With a long ladder.

WAX ONE!!!

...keyboard.

Re: For DocE and his little problem

But Alan, it says nothing about being "beerproof." /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
