ive been offered a 1974 mg midget been off the road for about 9 years though sitting in someones garage, its got a hard top with it, needs some welding, but from what i can see its all there and its got twin su carbs is that standsd or did it have a single su as standard the paintwork is red, its an M reg and i belive its a RWA model but on further investigation i think at some point its been resprayed as i found a few bits of faking red paint and its citron yellow,

how rare is a 74 midget RWA in citron yellow, also can anyone tell me where i can find the chassis plate ,if i was to buy it should it stay the red it is at the moment or put it back to its original citron yellow if indeed that is the original,

ive been offered this for around the ÂŁ100 mark should i take the plunge and buy it and restore it, im really a ford man having owned 75 of them in my time ,but my father and my uncle both had mgs when i was a kid and i liked themalot then

Buy it.

Twin SUs were standard.

Citron yellow RWAs might be rare, but I'd leave it red, unless you really want to get involved in a complete respray. A complete colour change is a lot of work if you want to do it properly. Around the doors, under the bonnet and in the boot.

We won't hold it against you that you're a Ford man. Just as long as you're NOT, NOT, NOT a Triumph man!

There's always a place for Ford guys (and girls) on BCF. They still let me post, at the very least. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Any Midget is worth 200 bucks unless it is a hulk.

How do you know that Citron is rare? I am curious because I've been offered a '73 - I think - that is Limeflower. Not sure how rare that is but it has been in a garage for years and suppossedly rust free.
