Had to go south to Miami area earlier last week to bid a final farewell to my father in law. He'd been ill for some time, Herself ran down a day before he passed (Friday) and I drove down Monday to be there for services and Tuesday for the interment. Tapped to be a pall bearer, some of the worst duty I've pulled in a while.

As "therapy" leading up to this inevitable event I got off my butt, put in new door cards and panels (Moss Motors "sale") and finally fabricated a center console for Her MG, replaced the center speaker with a panel holding a voltmeter and a clock (thanks to Nisonger!), three switches below those to control an electric fan (over-rides the thermal switch on the rad.), a switch-over between the standard horns and a set of air horns and a switch to turn on a set of courtesy lights under-dash independent of the lighting circuit. Set up a bracket to hold five relays under the bonnet, horns, driving lights (2) and cooling fan so-far. It took my mind off of the coming family tragedy.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Such things are never easy. You have more planned for the MG?

Condolences to you both, and glad Mits got to be with him.

On the plus side, sounds like you've made some great progress on the B!

My condolences to you doc and your wife. We went through the same unfortunate scenario last year with my wife's mother.

My condolences, Doc. Tough to say goodbye.

Thanks, guys.

Posting a couple pix of the "additions" in a separate thread.
