We'll be out at BeaveRun this weekend racing in an EMRA sprint race plus a one-hour enduro.

And we'll be back in a month for the VRG Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix event that is also held at BeaveRun.

If you're nearby, stop in and say hello.

I should be there with a small group the next weekend for the British car show and Schenley Park races.

I know that the MD/DC Alfa Romeo group is going to be caravaning up, I was wondering if there was an MD group that was planning the same?

Yeah...we were thinking of towing the Sprite home to NJ and then humping back to Pittsburgh the next weekend in the Miata.

A bunch of my race friends are going to just park their cars at BeaveRun, hang out for the week in P-burgh and then tow home after the Schenley Park races.

Mrs. Aeronca used to live in Pittsburgh and we have some friends in the area. We'd also like to visit the ~National Aviary~ if we had the time, so we're still thinking about it.

More info on VRG is here:

Shouldn't you be towing by now? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif

Hey! My mini-van isn't *that* slow!
Last year, we even passed a Crosely going uphill on I-80 in the middle of PA. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

But yeah, I know, it's confusing.

We were just *at* BeaveRun for an EMRA event last week and we're going back on July 6 to 8 for the Vintage Grand Prix event at that track.

*Then*, the week after the event at BeaveRun, they do the actual race through the streets of Pittsburgh (in Shenley Park) on July 14 and 15. My car is not eligible for the street race (too new).

So there's a week of time when we can just hang out in P-burgh and go to the various shows, black-tie galas and rallyes.
Or just go home and come back (it's 8 hours towing).
If I need to, my friends at BeaveRun will let me park the race car there for the week, so we don't have to drag it around Pittsburgh.

Not sure right now.

Ah!

Seems like a good plan. A week there could be a great time. Have you been to the Buhl Planetarium? That was always a great time. Carnegie Museum?
