I've been following the discussion forum for some time and decided to post my update. I'm a long way from vroom, but atleast now I know what I have to work with. My project is a 59 BE that has a fairly solid body w/ some rust at the rear suspension boxes. Floor boards are intact and generally looks OK (atleast a magnet sticks to the rest of the body). Bought it from a family that had owned it since 1971 but has not run since 1990. Did receive my BMHT "birth certificate" for the car last week. I plan to upgrade to a 1275cc and add front disc brakes but keep the original generaton and positive earth.
I'm much more comfortable w/ this project knowing there is a support group to help w/ the questions/problems. Look forward to working w/ the group.
My "harem" consists of a 1970 B that I restored several years ago. A 1977 TVR 2500M that is a real kick to drive so at times I do get refocused on keeping the others in running order.
I'll keep posting updates and I'm sure many questions.
My goal is to keep my wife from naming my project car

Not a bad looking project at all. Wish mine started out like that - you will probably have yours together before I do!
Post any questions you as there are a lot of knowledgeable folks here that like to help out.

What are the details from your Heritage certificate?

My son drives a TVR Tasmin with a V8 engine.

Or do like my wife did and name her "Ms. Triss."

Found a great piece of documentation under the center consol w/ the body number on a factory form. Also have the original owners manual, but the enngine/tranny are not numbers matching so I'm OK w/ the upgrades.
 
I'm ashamed to admit it took me several "reads" until I figured out why you named your car Triss....made more sense with the Ms..........duh!!!!!

No worries - took me a long time to notice it too! Very clever for both of them, I like the names! I'll have to make sure my wife doesn't get wind of them.
 
I like the names too. My wife named mine "Miss Chuff"..

I stopped by the MG Midget section & tried to meet with the gent who owns that Super Low Mi. (18K mi) Burgundy Midget but Not to be had.

Sorry I didn't get to meet up. I was with my daughter 9 and we ended up taking pictures of the cars. I think she stood beside everybodies car for a picture. (Isabelle has special needs and can be a handful at times, but she had a great day) I am a little concerned, she really liked the Austin Healey 3000. I didn't even spend any time getting the car clean as I drove the 130 miles yesterday and then in between photo shoots she wanted to color pictures and make bracelets at the kids table. She had a really good day and I enjoyed the time together. She fell asleep on the way home. Car ran great with 260 miles for the day and not one single problem other than getting lost.
