My 1960 Bugeye has been converted to front discs, the m/c is a 3/4" piston and the rear brakes are the original design. The brake pedal has a bit too much play, and the rear adjustors don't have much play. The shoe steady springs are installed, and the shoes seem really tight against the backing plate, more than I'm used to on other cars. Do I need the steady springs, or can I just do without them? If I take them off, will it make any difference ya think?
