On a Bug Eye that has single action rear brake cylinders, can these be upgraded to dual brake cylinders by changing the backing plates and the cylinders, spring etc. or is there more involved?

Thanks

GB, you can just swap the whole setup from a later disc brake car over to the Bugeye rear axle housing. Shouldn't be any problems. Be sure to get all of the handbrake linkages, as they are different.

Thanks Jeff:

I heard that the linkage is different, I had also heard that the rear plate will not line up with 1/4 housing.

Hear so many things that I wanted to get some confirmation.

GB, I ran later brakes on my Bugeye race car, as well as the '62, both 1/4 elliptic cars. The '63 I have is a 1/4 elliptic car, with the later style rear brakes as it came from the factory.

Thanks Jeff

So I will look out for the hand brake linkage.
