BE Door Latch

Both doors on my BE only close if you hold down the handle on the inside. If you try to just push the doors closed, they won't do it.

Should they close just by pushing them or is it normal to have to hold the handle down?

TIA,
Ed

Ed:

They should close by just pushing them. Mine require that the handles be held down. This is not problematic and I have gotten used too this, it also prevents slamming and paint chips.

To get them to close without depressing the latch will require more time adjusting the strikers and the doors.

I found that if you wipe "Doorease" (avail from most car places) it will do an amazing job on the door latch striking surfaces. It is a lithium wax and stays on the striker pretty well.
