BE Battery?

The time has come to pick up a new battery for the bugeye. Can anyone save me some trouble and tell me which size I need or a model number etc. I guess I'll be buying at my local Advance Auto.

Gesh Ben a golf cart battery will fit in that space.

No clue really, I just went in and asked for one for a bugeye and they gave me one.

Hmm, I looked on their website and they don't have one listed. Maybe they'll know when I go up there. I knew it was a silly question LOL

Group 24 but watch which side the terminals are on.
When the posts are near the firewall, they cause corrosion holes in firewall. Although this was "correct" when new, time has showed it to be wrong in the long run.
Depending on which ground you have, make sure the posts are AWAY from the firewall.

Hi Ben, Just buy a "sealed" battery and you will not have the problem. Delco makes a sealed lead acid battery and Optima and Odessey build AGM types just fit one to your budget and you will be good to go.---Keoke

I went to Costco and bought a battery that would seem to fit (I did some measuring first). Turned out it was the same battery that I had in my Toyota truck - I guess I have a backup for the truck (or maybe the car has a backup)...
