Perfect timing! Berkeley adhered to "standards" very closely - they used every one they ever heard of - Whitworth, metric (starter/generator), British Cycle (I think it's called), and I expect to find more.

I'll place an order by Monday.

Question - can you ship US Mail? UPS etc are problems for us because they won't come down the road.

You are correct. It is called British Standard Cycle (BSC) or also known as CEI. Most fasteners have 26 threads per inch. Fasteners at 1/4" sizes in BSC are identical to British Standard Fine (BSF) which are also 1/4" x 26 T.P.I.

Thanks for the quick response. I placed an order. However, there were only 3 or 4 shipping options and they were all UPS services - no USPS or anything else. I put a note on the order to ship US Mail & I understand that the shipping cost won't be what's shown on the invoice. Hope that's ok.

Great catalog, by the way.

Strange! We do get plenty of USPS orders on line. I will look into this! Anyway, thanks for your order, not to worry, the shipping instructions are carefully read and cards are not charged until the order is shipped out.

I received the sockets & wrenches without any problem - thanks. I've been using the Everest wrenches quite a bit this week and they work well. I had some real clearance problems in one area and had to grind a box wrench down to almost nothing and it held together. The open end Whitworths are a good fit - no problems there.

Ordering again soon. Thanks again.

Thanks very much! We are now purchasing some 1/4" Drive Whitworth sockets and some 7 piece Whitworth combination wrench sets in the near future as well. Our previous supplier had wanted us to buy 10,000 of each size, which was ridiculous, so now we have found some from a different source!
