BCF for 2008

I just gave this some thought... Because of the BCF I've met some good folks with whom I've more in common than 99% of those I meet on a daily basis. "Face-to-faced" with a number of 'em so far: BoneIdle, HotTVR, alana, Julian, AngliaGT. Enjoyable visits in every instance. Many phone conversations with the likes of Mickey, Tony, Kenny, Jack, Rick, Doug, Mike... all equally pleasant. Even talked with poor Basil one evening 'cause I went into panic mode over a server access problem... he was nothing but gracious at the intrusion.

This place has been THE most positive Internet experience I can recall.

Thanks, Basil! All hail Fearless Leader! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Steve, is that a birthday cake icon I see there tonight, 1 Jan 2008? You mean you are a New Years baby? Happy Birthday!

Yes, thank you, I am indeed a New Year's baby..... I just happened to have joined the BCF on my birthday six years ago, so I celebrate my birthday, new year's and forum anniversay on the same date.

Well, Happy Everything to you Steve!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Once the word is out, it will snowball from there. Without a doubt this is the best forum out there for LBC owners. I tell everyone I know involved in the hobby as I am sure others do also.

Steve,

I had mine the 31st.Always felt kind of cheated when I was a kid,& my friends would have theirs in the Summertime.

Yes, and certain relatives would only buy one gift, and say that it was for both Christmas and my birthday. My brother was born December 29th, and so would both get gypped by the same relatives!

Yeah my younger daughter was born on Dec 29.
But we have always made a Big Deal about her B-Day and kept it as separate as possible.
Even the other night (when our entire, huge gang was all together at my brother's place), my sis-in-law says:
"OK, everyone! The Christmas celebration is now officially over!
We can now celebrate Courtney's birthday!"

At which point, the lights go out, Aunt Lil (92) starts playing Happy Birthday on the piano and the birthday cake with lighted candles appears /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Also, Happy Birthday to Steve, Doug and anyone else who's birthday was during the holidays!
And Kudos to Basil from Member #297, for providing me with a great, 6+ years on this useful and entertaining forum.

By the way, my B-day's coming in three weeks (57!....how did *that* happen?!?).
And right around that time, my older daughter will be presenting me with the best present ever....my first grand-child!
