Been here long enough. Still can't figure some of
these acronyms used on the net. Maybe you'd be
kind enough to list a few, with their full translations,
of course.

I might list one or two that could be helpful, like:

DIWIHMM: Short for, "Dang, I wish I had more money."

or,

WFMETBMILWTGG....S

Short for: Wait'in for my engine to be machined is like
watch'in the grass grow....slow.

No kidding, still haven't figured a few of the most
used. I'll go to the net, next time for acronym dict. Shudda thought of that one sooner. Hey, I'll get there.

From the context in which it is used, I think IMHO means "I am right and everyone else is wrong!" or something to that effect.

Those two are ubiquitous, Graham. As are the LOL, ROFLMAO, and a LARGE number of others. YMMV.

There are a number of lists for 'translation', Google hauls up a ton of 'em.
 
A colleague (now sadly passed on) used to say "We live in an ADE." When asked what an ADE was, he would reply "An Acronym Dominated Environment".

Sandltot! Really fun film. Good clean entertainment
for faimily. Not to be confused with Sandlot II,
though (actually disappointment). Fun uplifting
soundtrack. Gotta be somewhere in the median, at
least, of the BCF coummunity to appreciate it, though.
 
Round here at work we use lots of TLA's and refer to them as such

"Three Letter Acronyms"
