Battery Maintainer--Plugged Perpetually

Would any you leave a battery maintainer unattended for very long periods of time?

I mean like months, with no one watching for issues or problems?

It's a car that my aging mother has, and she can't drive it. I'm concerned the engine will deteriorate with no one ever operating the car, and I'm concerned something might happen to the clamps, wiring, etc. while I'm not around if I just leave a maintainer connected for months on end.

Thanks for any thoughts.

I have a CTEK battery charger/maintainer and leave it on for months with no problem.
Once the battery reaches proper voltage the charger maintains the voltage whenever it detects a drop.

Just make sure the battery has the proper amount of electrolyte in it. My motor home, my tractors and my little cars are plugged in from fall to Summer and never unplugged, some longer than that. Just make sure it is a maintainer, not just charger. PJ

Mine stays plugged in year in and year out no problem

I do every year on my Jag during the cold months. I've not had a problem.
