Can anyone recommend a specific battery charger/maintainer?
There seems to be so many makes and models and the prices range from $20.00 to $200.00. Any suggestions and what are the pro's and con's? thanks

Don Schumacher (this man knows cars) makes a great unit that I sell all the time. Very reliable, can be mounted permanently to a vehicle, or spliced on with quick disconnects. Part number is PSC-15A-OB. Pro series Charger, 1.5 Amp, Automatic On-Board.

Walmart sold me one 5 years ago for $25.00. No problems. I leave the clips attached to the batter and just plug the cord into charger as needed. Clamps come of battery when I know I'll be driving a lot (Summer) otherwise they hand from the battery. There is an off-set plug system to prevent shorts. They are called float chargers and use very little electricity. Maintains the battery nicely during our long and very cold winters in an unheated garage.

Another endorsement for Schumacher. I have quick-connects and it's really convenient to keep batteries topped-up.

I have a Schumacher SE-1-12S unit hard wired in my car. I have the older model, 1st photo. 2nd photo is the new model, but has the same number SE-1-12S.

I have it placed in the well under the battery and unless your looking for it, it's sort of hidden out of view. The plug I hide behind the armacord when I'm not using it.

When I add items to my car, I try and make them easy to use, and if possible, hidden from view, so as to keep my car original looking....sort of.
Cheers,
Roger
