Would some kind soul be kind enough to give me the dimension of the battery carrier for a BJ8?

I am after the distance between the rear battery mount bracket and the front battery mount bracket. (I imagine this is the same dimension as the length of the battery tray).

thanks

It is the distance between the hole in the rear battery mount bracket and the hole in the front battery mount bracket.

(I imagine this is the same dimension as the length of the battery tray). No ithe above indicated spacing makes it a bit longer.

thanks

Keoke is correct as I would assume that since your car came from the USA, it would have the same setup as my Phase 1. The battery fixing bar is a little greater than the length of the tray to provide space to accept the J-rods and wing nuts extending from the tray through the bar.

All the best,

Download and you can zoom in. Metric sizes ;-(

Bracket is 36cm 2mm, carrier is just under 36cm inside

If you move the battery all the way forward, you will have room for two Qts of oil nicely held in place by the bar and rod. I put wing nuts on the rods to make it easy to move the battery to get to the spares I house under the battery. (Fuel pump, solenoid, wipers, fan belt and more)
