I was surprised to see that green early '69 Spridget roll up on the block at Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach this weekend. After looking closely at it and speaking with the owner,
THE GOOD:
same owner since 1973
just completed three-year ground-up restoration
lots of documentation
great BRG paint
THE NOT SO GOOD:
chrome wire wheels with too much offset
three-eared knockoffs
rear badge in wrong place on boot lid (he said it had been there since '73)
no side markers... lights or reflectors
THE RESULT:
$16,000 !!!!!
