Barn Finds

Somebody sent me this. Apologies if it's already been mentioned here.

"What a collection, have a peek!
New York man retired, wanted to use his retirement money wisely, so it
would last, and decided to buy a home and a few acres in Portugal.
The modest farmhouse had been vacant for 15 yrs.; the owner and wife both
had died, and there were no heirs. The house was sold to pay
taxes.
There had been several lookers, but the large barn had steel doors, and
they had been welded shut. Nobody wanted to go to the extra
expense to see what was in the barn, and it wasn't complimentary to the
property anyway......so, nobody made an offer on the place.
The NY guy bought it at just over half of the property's worth, moved in,
and set about to tear in to the barn.......curiosity was haunting him.
So, he and his wife bought a generator, and a couple of grinders.......and
cut thru the welds.
What was in the barn...............?

and start wishing it had been you who bought the place."

Now he has moved to Nigeria and sells the cars on Ebay and by direct emails to collectors ,

beaulieu,

Thanks for the info... Please let your brother's uncle know that I haven't received the 1958 BN4 that I bought from him.

I am sure that the $10,000 wire transfer gave him the funds and I can't wait to get the car... Ho boy, I got a GREAT deal... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif

I am sure that the shipping company is the cause of the delay... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Dear Ron,

yes the BN4 is on the way

he had trouble fabricating....uhh I mean documenting the lemans race history,

He asked me if you could send him another $750 for the extra expenses he had helping you get the car ,

Bon Dia

Beaulieu,

Thanks for the info.. I am soooo relieved....

Heck, I'll send him another $1,000 because I feel so guilty about getting such a great deal.... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Ron we want to see photos of it when it arrives...

Tony,

Will do.... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

Beaulieu,

I am afraid I have some bad news for you...and the rest of you, too. Apparently, your uncle was undocumented as far as the relations with your family, as when he passed away recently, leaving his large estate to no one, his attourney contacted me to assist him in smuggling the huge amount of proceeds from his estate into the US to avoid the scandulous tax consequenses of that government. I was fortunate enough to be selected as the Amercian Agent for this transaction and we are about done with setting up the extensive web of corporations and paying the necessary upfront legal expenses of closing this transaction. I has taken most of my retirement funds to finance the tranfer, but I am sure I will be very wealthy when my share arrives from the off shore account we have been using to conduct this business.

But I am sure my good fortune will not change me one bit ;-))
