Barn Finds

This gets re-posted every couple of weeks, but I never tire of it. Imagine stumbling upon that find yourself!

Yep & the usual stories about it are a crock.....nobody bought a building without going inside & unlocked it to find that collection! Nobody inherited a building from a long lost relative in Portugal (or somewhere) & when they got there found this collection!

But there it is in pics and ain't it great.

I usually go to snopes.com and sniff out what sounds like a Too-Good_To Be True deal, my email freinds thing I'm a party pooper for always sending them the truth. This time, the story was stupid, but what great cars.

As Camshaft said, this particular bunch of photos and the "barn find" story have been circulating on the web for over a year now that I know of. Sometimes the owner was a Portuguese doctor, sometimes the buyer was a doctor, sometimes the place was bought at auction, sometimes from a relative who didn't want to monkey with it.
All I can say about the SCM "truth" is that if somebody paid a "professional photographer" for those photos, they got a good screwing to begin with.
The truth is out there, but I'm not sure that's it.

Still, it is a shame that they are there in that condition for whatever the reason is. I hope someone liberated them!

You know that one day they will get liberated.

There are garages everywhere ful of cars that don't want to be 'liberated'....though after a person passes that's usually what happens....some folks collect just for the joy of collecting!
