Barn find Triumph !!

OK- so we don't really have any barns on the island.
But a find by the Tinster nonetheless.

Remember where I live!! In the past 19 years I have seen
2 MG midgets and one MGB, on the roadways. No other Triumphs
on the roadways until today. (rumored to be several but never
seen by me, except 2 trailer queens at a show)

My find of the day:

A 1973 Triumph TR6, dark blue, triple webbers, shaved head,
cranks instantly, mostly original interior and engine bay
components. New carpets, new soft top, original hard top.
Decent 2 year old, frame on, paint job. It's been on-island
for ten years. No body panel rust I could detect.

I ain't a mechanic, as known to all, but if I wuz a wrench
I might have noticed the front and rear suspension need 100%
rebuilding and the wiring harness needs a bit of work. I did
not drive the beast but the clutch felt OK to me.

Oh Yeah - it's for sale- costs about $900 or so to get it to
Miami or Philadelphia. The Mrs was ADAMANT it will not be
parked at our house. (an aside- other than the 3 Webbers,
Amos is a finer TR6!)

Maybe Tony or Mickey will buy it while they are here??

Don't be so hung up on the Webbers Dale. they are an awsome carb, but they don't have the greatest street manners. They're kinda on-off beasts. I think Amos is a special car. My bet is you have the best loved, and definatly the most famous TR6 on the whole island. Perfect paint an't all that either.
three cheers to Dale, Wendy, and Amos!
Still. what a cool find. Mebbe we could use it for the shop car at "Island Imports Sports and Classics" hehehehehehe

"Island Imports Sports and Classics"?

I missed this along the way, but count me IN!!!!!

The gentleman is asking $14,000.
It is part of a divorce property split sale.
I did get his cell phone number.

The $900 is my estimate of the cost to cargo barge the car to
Stateside.
