Barn Find of the Day

Offline
This is the barn find of today in Central Illinois. Neat little roadster, complete except for engine and radiator.

Anyone like to venture a guess as to its make and year?

Yep...care to venture as to its year?

BTW...Bantam never did get the credit they deserved for developing the Jeep...that went to Willys.

I have a friend in Peoria has one in pieces in his basement.
I have never seen it in any other state than a pile of parts.

I do not remember what year his is and have no guess on the age of this one.

Not sure about the year. I'd guess it's a later car. 1940?

Re the Jeep - I think they've always gotten the ~credit~ for it, they just didn't get the contract.

Guess what I meant is...when most folks think of a Jeep, the think of a Willys Jeep...NOT a Bantam Jeep.

I think it was History Channel of Discovery Channel that had a special on Automobiles - the Jeep a couple of years back.

1938?

Yay me!!! Do I win it?? Do I?? Do I?? :driving:    :driving:

I'd recommend you just take th' cash equivalent, Pete.
