I seem to have persistent weeping from a couple of the banjo joints. All new copper washers and bolts themselves are clean (I gently cleaned them with a small brash brush) before assembly. I believe they are tight enough and I don't think the manual gives any specific information in this regard. Any ideas on what problem might be, and/or suggestions for eliminating the leaks? Well, there are only a couple of possibilities. You seem to be taking care of any dirt issues, so that leaves only the copper sealing washers, and the surfaces that they seal on. The sealing surfaces would be the banjo bolt itself, the banjo fitting, and the surface on the other side of the banjo...which I don't exactly know what that is, as I assume that this is for a drum braked TR3 looking at your commission number. One of those surfaces must not be right, have a nick in it, or possibly the banjo fitting is out of parallel.

Where did you get the copper washers from? I don't know if it's possible for them to be too hard where they won't conform to any normal irregularities when tightened.
 
Art, the washers are from TRF, and yes, 56 TR3 with drum brakes all round. All new wheel cylinders and brake lines as well as washers. Only banjo bolts are original. Cheers, Mike
