TR6 Ballancing the connecting rods and pistons. Am I lucky?

Hope to be assembling the engine in a few weeks. Pulled out my connecting rods and pistons to balance this weekend. Used my digital scale and when I weighed everything they were exactly the same. Weighed the connecting rods with and without the wrist pins and each individual pistons. A couple of he connecting rods flickered which suggests they were on the edge but eventually settled at the same measurement as the others. I heard that TR6 engines were well balanced from the factor but whats the chances of that happening. My TR250 was way off and 18 years ago when I did it and I have a different scale now but does not carry out in tenths beyond grahams like my old one. What could I be ding wrong?
 
I think most factories shoot for +- 1 gram. I shoot for within 1/10th gram. If anything had been replaced from original, then it sounds like someone already went through your engine. If it is all factory, then it could just be the factory job.
 
In the factory someone scaled rotating parts and organized the ones closest in weight together. Then upon needing the part it was grouped by weight for the pull to put in the engine. Even Jags were done this way, not balanced, just paired close. Racing in the 50s and 60s only showed fuel and air improvement and tolerance in clearances not balancing, used as stock as possible.
 
Don't think anyone has been through the engine before. There would be grind marks and other signs of work. Don't think there are ways to hide that and what fore. LarryK's seems more possible.
 
That even makes more since now because I noticed that the pistons and rods weren't numbered. I had to make marks on them to ensure they went back in the correct hole.
