ball joint rubber boots

I bought some replacement ball-joint rubber boots from Moss for my BN6 along with new retaining clips, and I discovered that the clip diameter appears to be oversized, meaning it doesn't tightly cinch the rubber boot. Upon closer inspection, the Moss clip actually appears close to the size of the original, however the Moss rubber boot is considerably thinner and smaller in diameter, which accounts for the sloppy fit. Any thoughts on this? Are there smaller diameter clips out there somewhere? right sized boots? Thanks

HI Nevetes, I have not seen the correct style rubber boots and the spring clips advertised in a long time .However, I would give British Car Speciaties and Hemphill's Healey Haven a call.---FWIW--Keoke

Thanks Keoke, I'll give Brit Car Specialties a call. I see they list the parts in their catalogue, maybe they have the right ones. The issue is not one of originality...I just want something that fits. I may buy some cir-clips of the proper diameter as a last resort.
