Badge and letters -how to affix to car

I am interested in learning how best to affix chrome badges and letters to my Herald. Clips of some sort to attach to the protruding pins once the badge/letter is placed on/pins through the boot or bonnet panel would appear to be a solution. Any suggestions as to what type of clips to use or any other suggested approach would be greatly appreciated.

I used these for the nose badge on my TR3. Worked out great so far; easily removable but hasn't come loose in service (yet)

(obviously, check the size against your pins)
They have other styles of course, which might work better for letters (where the pins are too close together for the flange nuts)
