Last night a strong storm system went through, 60+ mph winds hard rain with hail, some golf ball size. Tornado caused a lot of damage including a complete loss of a marina full of boats. Boats are piled up in the lake like piles of scrap metal, no telling how many are on the bottom! The Tornado missed us by a couple miles, thank goodness! Only one injury needed hospital attention, that's a plus! Cleaning up the lake of all the boats and debris is going to be quite a chore, mobile home park was destroyed also. It's just amazing that with all the damage, no one was seriously injured! :encouragement:

I believe we're getting the winds you had; been gusting all morning here. Trees are bending like spaghetti, and I'm surprised we haven't had any down... yet!

I saw that the storm was heading your way Mickey, dumping tremendous amounts of rain, wind and hail! We had a couple of tornadoes form, one was bad, so keep an eye out. PJ

The tornadoes didn't start until it was past us but we got a hail of a lot of hail, the 60 mph winds, and it dumped buckets of rain.

Saturday night my sin (pilot) had to cancel a flight from Richmond to Chicago do to weather (mostly in and around Chicago). Heard Illinois had some tornados too.
