The Tr3 thread on starters brought to mind an amusing tale of a Sprite. This beast was in need of a starter,
but my then roomate could not afford such luxury's. We got it into the kitchen of our "house" and
did the best clean and freshen we could do on the table. As it seemed to need little in the way of new bits,
and had not leaked any smoke, we put it back in the car.
Still did not spin over. However in as much as it started with the slightest push ,HP decided to just park only
on inclines until funds for a new one came about. So it went on for many months this way bump starting all over
campus, bars, girl friends homes, ect. Then came the fateful night when his uncle needed to move the Sprite
to get his car out. HP gave him the keys , but neglected to mention the starter. His uncle got in and pulled the
switch and Hey presto , fired it right up !! This starter continued to work from that day forward .GOK why it had not
worked that first time. Just Lucas I suppose.
