Guy in the wet concrete reminds me of one I saw a few years ago when coming home from work. They were replacing a sewer line, had it all filled in with new cement and coned off for a half mile or so. Lady in a van decided to try to drive across this 10ft or so wide strip and the van was sunk to the grill in front and sitting on the dry pavement for the back half with wheels in the air. And yelling at the construction crew for not trying hard enough to stop her.

But I noticed in that video too, particularly with the ones involving motorcycles, it takes two or more taking chances to mess things up.

Those fail videos are a rabbit hole I easily fall into - boat fails also.

One of the best days to laugh is to go to the nearest lake boat ramp, set up chairs, food and drink and watch the loading and unloading. Surprised at how may cannot back a trailer. Once a guy had his boat on a trailer, just pulled clear of water and walked down three ramps and started a chat session. People were furious. Then one 4X4 truck pushed his truck and boat down into the water and left. The police could not find any witnesses and the parking lot was full and lines were out to the highway. Did not have phones with video back then.

While watching some people (badly) trying to back up a trailer,
I want to pull them out of their truck & do it right.

Back when I was racing my FJ all over the country, I was considering installing a hitch on the front of my car.
Thought that might simplify the geometry.
I wasn't having too much of an issue backing up, but sometimes I needed my crew to do the driving.

Another ramp story, I had taken my Dad and stepmom fishing in our new bass boat. Storms were approaching and I had to make them quit fishing and headed for the ramp. Once we got near the ramp, someone and left the ramp violently and sunk a ski boat. Everyone was circling as the storm got nearer and lots of lightening. Asked Dad if he could back the trailer down and he slapped me and said sure. So off he went and after 4 trys made the ramp and I got the boat on the trailer as lightening hit the front bass seat on the boat on my right. I would never let my Dad back a trailer after that. His boat sits in a sling under a cover on private lake.

When I was a mechanic the shop I worked at had a car trailer that was low enough that you couldn't see it when it didn't have a car on it. You had to do a lot of rubber necking to back that sucker up solo.

I had that problem when backing up the driveway at my Mom's house
where I stored it. It would disappear in the mirrors for a short time.As I carried
traffic cones for the fire department,I'd put a short stack of them on the rear-
corner,which solved the problem.
We could probably get a huge thread going about the stupid things we've
done while trailering.

Here in Ohio today we've had near continuous rain, much heavy. Which of course brings out the dumb drivers. Video on the news of a couple folks who drove around the "road flooded" signs so they could sit in mid door depth water waiting for a tow. I could understand being parked or stuck in traffic and getting caught in fast rising water but come on folks, there's a reason they put up barriers and signs and it isn't so you have something to push out of the way. I wonder if they're wearing ruby slippers, clicking their heels and repeating "There's no water here, there's no water here"...

I hope I die peacefully, in my sleep like my Grandfather did, not screaming in horror like the other passengers in his car.
:ba-dump:

It takes me a few goes to get my reverse trailering right after a winter off. I just need to remember to steer into the side mirror that the trailer is turning too. to keep it straight.

not quite a bumper sticker but I have just added this to my car as I’m running in my engine.
think I’ll keep it all season for my club runs on the road as well as racing as it’s now over 165bhp ;)
