Spring of 1970 Warschawski had a sale on 87mm liner sets for Tr3/4 . Less than 90$ and I could replace
my old 83mm slugs on my 59 Tr3. Did it in the front yard of the house(in the gravel) Dear God were they
shot! They sat on the porch in the box the new pistols came in, till we moved out that spring when the termites
swarmed and evicted us rudely .
Some how this box did not never made the ash bin, and a few years later (college daze) my old roomy
had a broke down tr3 that needed pistons. Naturally some beer got swilled and these HORRIBLE old pistols
got re-ringed and slapped into Harry's rust bucket. This motor (loose as a squid) ran like stink and in fact
was running really good when he piled it up.
Everything is saveable, if the need is great. Another friend needed a motor for his 55 Tr2. More beers.
When the Tr2 got restored ,I got the old motor. Tore it down this AM and now have my old pistols back.
What a long strange trip it's been!!
