I finally got around to retrieving my TR-250 from my friend's garage today, where it has wintered since early December, brought him home to my new house and garage, and introduced him to his new stable-mate (the Tiger). I'm happy to report that I checked his fluids, turned on the battery, pulled the choke, turned the key, and he started on the third try (which is what he always does). Thank you Greenie, thank you Standard Triumph, and thank you Store'n'Start! Greenie seemed to like Max just fine.

I was none too soon in picking Greenie up -- the first club event is on Saturday morning! Woohoo!

P.S. I hadn't driven the agile old Triumph (not to mention the Healey) since taking delivery of the Sunbeam. My goodness they are very different machines.

Congratulations Bill!

It's always great to go on that first ride in the spring.

Hope you put many happy miles on all three cars this summer!

Spring? What is this condition that you refer to as spring? Is it similar to water, like in constant rain? How about cold? Anything like cold?

That's interesting that you refer to your Triumph as a HIM while mine is a FEMALE. Ya'll didn't know that British Leyland made them in both genders, did'ya? Funny that I got a she-car, bitch-that-she-is.

Then there's Crypty who is neither male nor female
but appears to be a dybbuk in TR6 form.

Spring was that one 70+ degree day we had back in the middle of March. Hope you made the most of it! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Bill-

Don't be surprised that Greenie marks his territory a little more with the Tiger next to him - most Triumphs are jealous types and do that a lot!

My car is a male when all is well, and a female when all is not. I never named "it" but may have to use a name like "Pat" who can transform from male to female as I see fit.

Another female named TR6 resides in my garage. Her name is Josephine. students of Napoleonic History might get a chuckle out of that name. Even though we have been together for 17 years, she didn't earn that name until after her make over. After that she has more than deserved it on occasion. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
