Well my wife saw an old spitfire along the road and thought I should get one. I had a 73 back 20+ years ago when we were dating. Oh those rides through the Adirondacks in the fall. We ended up selling both spits and her MGB-GT when Griffiss AFB closed and I got orders.

So I find a 79 with a bad clutch master and drag it home from Tuscaloosa, and then buy the 73 basket case she saw for $250. Used the front bumper and some pieces parts from it so far. Really bought it to get hold of the 5 original bolt on spoke wheels it had.
