B210 Shifter advice.

I've sourced a gear lever from a B210 in the UK, from a Right Hand Drive.
I wouldn't have thought it makes a difference, but does the side of the car the driver sits on, make a difference to the lever?
The shifters are getting real hard to find.....
TIA!

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think it matters which side the steering wheel is on......I believe the shifters are the same.

They are straight-up, no bend to either side so the issue doesn't come up. A good method to retain a Spridget knob and solve the R/L difference in shifter exit location is to cut off a Sprite shifter and weld it to the right side of the Datsun lower stub(~2"). At that moment you can go straight-up or adjust-to-suit(room to insert CD?) as you make the weld.

I spent a few minutes with the torch yesterday removing the bends from my Datsun shifter. It is completely straight as suits my Westfield installation. It was very easy to do and now all I have to do is mark the correct length and take it to a machinist to have it cut and threaded. Once I get the tranny in the car and the seats installed I can correct the bend and send it off to the plater.

All 3 bushings are available from Nissan for under $20 total, same with throwout bearing carrier. (mine was a bit too long)

Anyway it isn't hard to bend it if you don't want a welded shifter, for some reason.
