So I'm finally getting back to the tr2, and I'm having to replace the inner sills. I got the "A" post loose with a bit of messing around, and am now having trouble with "B" post. Ive gotten all the welded parts off as far as I can see, but it still seems to be welded. Is it welded behind of it inside all the structure?
So far I have the forward edge loose, the horizontal aft side cut out, now do I need to do the vertical aft side (is it welded) ?

Yes...

If you look in this pic, the rear of the "B" post has a vertical tab that is seam welded to the inner sill. The only way to reach it is to peal back the quarter panel as I did in the pic. I suppose you could grind off the inner sill from the inside to?!?

What way is that picture taken looking in our out ( from car)? I have to replace the lower bit of the quarter panels, so I guess that will be tomorrow attack.
Thanks for the picture I search for a bit but couldn't find much.

Here are a few of mine (what's left anyway). This is the drivers side...

Tush's pics are better! With mine the wheel well is on the right. On the left is the B post. The bottom of the quarter panel is cut off (as is Tush's in his pics), and you are looking from the outside of the car inward.

I think these are Don's and Pat's photos...I have them in my library to help me reconstruct mine....

It has been several years ago, but I was able to cut loose the sill from the inside. It was not easy but I did it. BUT--- when I went to attach the new Sill to the Bpost, we had to cut open the quarter panel to access the area to weld it on. We did a three sided cut to make a window. Once finished with the weld we pulled it back in place and welded it shut. In the end I would recommend opening up the quarter panel to start with.

Thanks for all the pictures that helps me out a lot. I'm not sure what my post is going to look like hopefully not as bad as yours tush, but I also have no floor, hole from the wheel well.
The "A" post is in reasonable shape and will be reused maybe I'll get lucky with the "B".
